Fespaan the Behemoth

Fespaan is the god of earth, land, and wilderness. He is thought of as a patient, unwavering entity, much like stone itself. Although the earth turtle plays a part in agriculture, his domain holds more sway over the wild lands. His name is invoked in harvest rituals to avoid incurring his wrath, but prayers to him are more commonly associated with travel through the wilderness.

Fespaan is an ancient enemy of Ogrus, for Fespaan’s ultimate goal is to raise all of Jemmora above the seas and thus claim dominion over the world. As such, he looks favorably on projects that create more land – his progeny, the island turtles, are an example of this.

His priests wear dark green robes with tortoiseshell accents, and can be found wandering the wilderness to preserve its beauty. Priests in urban areas are often caretakers of parks and gardens. His holy symbol is a turtle shell set with an oak tree.
