Norn is the embodiment of justice used to exact vengeance and retribution. He isn’t typically worshiped habitually, but his name is invoked by those who seek revenge. Although the strongest of the gods of justice, Norn has no taste for leadership and is content to let Kodava manage their affairs. It was at his urging that drove The Great Bear to withhold her protection from mortals as punishment for their transgressions.
Folk speak Norn’s name when they want revenge, particularly incapable of avenging themselves. This invocation might be in response to a petty slight or a true injustice, and the acknowledgement of The Boar might be an oath sworn aloud or might be written down somewhere. It’s generally believed that the greater the slight and more permanent the oath, the more likely it is to be fulfilled.
Aside from bounty hunters and those on crusades of vengeance, few truly revere Norn, and he is served fewer still by those who call themselves priests. Temples of Norn are practically unheard of, though temples to the gods of justice include a shrine to him.
Norn often takes the form a great dire boar, and his holy symbol is a boar’s head.
